Fairgrounds trails were groomed this morning. More snow is falling and its a beautiful winter morning out there. A few skiers arrived for a Sunday morning ski as I parked the grooming equipment. Lucky them. Conditions are good but the additional snow is welcome to build up the snowpack in thin areas. No classic tracks at the moment - not enough snow for that. Come out and enjoy this blast of winter. /groomer sasquatch/

My thermometer said 2 degrees here in Tookie as I headed out to groom the Fairgrounds this AM. And on Monday it was 50 and my wife and I were tapping maple trees. Gotta love New Hampshire in the spring!! This new snow firmed up very nicely and everything is groomed. The skiing is good but the snow cover is thin so be careful on the hills to help preserve the snow. There are a new areas (hilltop area) that are blocked off to keep the snow we have for Monday's Capitol Classic Race. Thanks for staying off those areas. Its a cold day but I hope you decide to seize the day and get out for a ski!!!

Good work on the snow dance everyone - it looks like WINTER out there again. I'm sure that we're all glad to see this change in the outdoor conditions, right? Our grooming plan is to get out to the Fairgrounds on Fri AM after the snowfall has ended to pack and prep this new snow . We'll let it sit and settle for the day then get back out there later Friday to groom it. And we'll keep grooming it through the weekend. There will be some extra grooming as the current plan calls for the Capitol Classic Nordic Race to be held at the Fairgounds on Monday. 2/27. Enjoy the day.
