Snow and plenty of it - that's what we've got today. The grooming squad will be out at the Fairgrounds very early Tuesday morning to pack and groom all this new snow. We're grateful for the snow but these up and down temperatures make things challenging. We don't groom the snow when temps are above freezing - the weight of the equipment squishes the snow too much and it'll turn into a solid block of ice when it freezes. So Tuesday early grooming - we'll be off it by 9AM when temps will edge back up to 32. Then we wait until its cold again before we get out there. Watch for updates here. /groomer sasquatch/

Good morning skiers. Great news for all - the Fairgrounds are groomed and ready for your sking enjoyment. All regular trails in BOTH the front and back 40 were packed and groomed and classic tracks were set around the perimeter this morning. It was a glorious day to be out working the fresh snow. Hope your Saturday or Sunday have time in the schedule to get out for a ski. /grromer sasquatch/

Goooooood morning Nordic Skiers !!!! We're all excited that we got some snow last night. Its quite heavy and wet (clogged up my snowblower already) and temps are very close to freezing so the grooming team conferred and our best judgement tells us that we should let this snow sit and rest today to settle and dry while additional snow accumulates during the day and overnight. We'll get out there and pack and groom it Saturday morning to get it ready for your winter enjoyment. That's our plan. /groomer sasquatch/
