Fairgrounds trails were groomed this morning in the early hours as temps were still below freezing. Conditions are soft and getting softer as temps rise. And there’s ice underneath the snow cover so be careful out there both on and off your skis. We’ll put up the ”trails closed” sign tomorrow afternoon as temps get even warmer and rain is in the forecast. Thanks to Coach Rothe for his early grooming work!

New Year’s Eve day. Monday’s heavy rain has now frozen everything SOLID. The previously groomed trails are now mostly icy runways. The ungroomed areas are okay for some wild untracked “crust skiing” if you really need some ski time and are into that sort of activity. Generally - we need some new snow to groom. So please mix a little snow dance into your New Year’s Eve activities tonight!!

Fairgrounds trails groomed this AM for your skiing enjoyment!! The sky is blue and the conditions are quite good (of course we're always happy for MORE snow) so you should get out there and enjoy some of this while it lasts. No classic tracks yet as the snow depth just isn't sufficient for that. But there were some classic skiers out there anyway this AM enjoying the day.
