Fairgrounds trails were groomed this morning. Groomer Jason reports conditions are looking VERY good out there. Weather forecast indicates that temps will be in the 40s on a daily basis this week. If so, it'll be best to ski EARLY in the day when temps are closer to freezing and the snow is firm. Skiing on that soft snow in 40 degree temps usually leaves BIG ruts that are a challenge for the groomers. Thanks for your consideration as we try to stretch the ski season. Cold temps returning late in the week. Enjoy your Sunday!!!

Groomer Jason went out and groomed the Fairgrounds today including the BKL oval areas. Due to a shortage of that most valuable of commodities (time) no classic tracks were set. We've got snow on the ground and it looks like a beautiful afternoon for a ski. Get out there and enjoy it!!!!

Coach Rothe reports that today's Nordic Race at the Fairgrounds was GREAT. The snow conditions were super. A bit of cold wind didn't dampen the nordic ski spirit. It got skied VERY heavily today so conditions will be a bit rough until we can get out and re-groom. Looks like that will be on Thursday at some point. Might be Coach Rothe in the AM or Groomer Jason in the PM. Continued COLD temps are good news for ALL nordic skiers as they'll help us keep it all going at the Fairgrounds. Groomer Sasquatch is off for a few days of warmth in the South lands. But back early next week for more grooming.
