OCT 2025 First FROST

10/10/2025 We had our first good hard frost here in Contoocook this AM. Fortunately I covered the beautiful lettuce still growing in our raised bed so we'll continue to have delicious salads for a while. And of course this brings to mind the upcoming nordic ski season. One of our snowmobiles is currently "in the shop" for normal maintenance work and the other is ready for the season. The Blackwater Nordic Board is busy planning all the necessary details. We'll be doing some maintenance work on both the grooming shed and the cocoa shack at the Fairgrounds to prepare for the season.
