First Groomable Snow

1/20/2025. Monday - MLK Day. Groomable snow and cold temps are finally here!! But PATIENCE is needed while the grooming squad does its work. It takes time to turn this new snow into a firm skiable surface. About 6" of light new snow fell overnight. Our plan is to pack/roll the new snow today (later this AM) and let it sit. The compressed snow will firm up nicely with the even colder temps moving in today/tonight. Tomorrow AM we'll groom it. I expect our Hopkinton Middle & High School Nordic Teams to be out at the Fairgrounds after school tomorrow along with the younger skiers - the BKL group - to enjoy the first local nordic skiing of the winter. /groomer sasquatch/
