What is Bill Koch League?
***Please note: BKL registration for 2020-21 is closed due to max capacity. Check back next year!
BKL is the largest membership group in cross-country skiing in the United States. Founded by Olympic Silver Medalist Bill Koch, the League’s mission is to introduce children to cross-country skiing in a supportive fun environment.
NO TRYOUTS AND NO CUTS!
Youth members who are part of a family membership or who have an individual youth membership may also participate in the BKL program for an additional fee of $25/child.
Open to all Blackwater Nordic member children grades 1-8.
The program will operate under the leadership of Sam Garland, Rob Dapice and parent volunteers. When available, members of the Hopkinton High School Nordic Team will also act as instructors. Instruction is in small groups providing an excellent skier to instructor ratio.
Equipment is not provided by Blackwater but can purchased at a 20% discount (for Blackwater Nordic members) at S&W Sports in Concord. Blackwater occasionaly has some boots to rent and loans skate skis to be used during skate instruction.
Watch for event announcements including a race and family fun days.
